Compatibility and Behavior
The male Bluethroat Fairy Wrasse is a stunning Cirrhilabrus species, with its striking red coloration and gorgeous sail-like dorsal fin. Notably, this species features a distinct blue patch on its throat hence its namesake. This blue patch may vary in size and intensity, depending on the wrasse’s age, with terminal male wrasses featuring the brightest coloration. This species may show a faded coloration when stressed (as pictured) It is peaceful toward most community fish and is reef safe, making it a great choice for both reef tanks and smaller fish-only systems.
Aquarium Requirements
Provide a mature saltwater aquarium of at least 70 gallons with plenty of open swimming space and ample live rock for cover and sleeping retreats. Bluethroat Fairy Wrasses typically wedge into rock crevices at night, so caves, ledges, and shaded areas are important for their sense of security. A tight-fitting lid or mesh top is essential, as this species can jump when startled or chased.

We will email you to request a substitution. If you would like your original order, chances are good that it will be available to ship within the week (unless it is a very rare item).
Can I modify my order once it has been placed?
This is possible, but not guaranteed. Please email us if you need to modify your order or shipping address, and we will gladly make the changes for you, or let you know if it is too late.
