Rhomboid Wrasse Female EXPERT (Cirrhilabrus Rhomboidalis)
Compatibility and Behavior The female Rhomboid Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus rhomboidalis) is a genuinely sought-after fairy wrasse from the Marshall Islands, and it's easy to see why — females display a soft lavender to rosy-peach body with golden undertones, subtle rhomboid-shaped markings, and translucent fins edged in pastel hues that catch the light beautifully under reef lighting. It's reef safe with corals and clams, and generally mixes well with other peaceful community fish and fairy or flasher wrasses when given adequate space and places to retreat. That said, this species can be on the shy side at first, and boisterous or much larger tankmates tend to stress it out. Calm, similarly sized companions tend to bring out the best in it over the long term.
Live Arrival Guarantee: Due to their environmental sensitivity and rarity, Rhomboid Wrasses are only guaranteed for live arrival. These wrasses do best in mature and peaceful systems.
Aquarium Requirements Female Rhomboid Wrasses do best in established reef systems with plenty of open mid-water swimming space and reef-style rockwork that offers caves, ledges, and shaded areas for retreating and resting at night. Unlike many wrasses, this species doesn't bury in the sand — rockwork complexity matters far more than substrate depth here. A 70-gallon minimum with stable water conditions and strong but varied flow gives it the environment it needs to stay active and comfortable. A secure, tight-fitting lid is a must; fairy wrasses are capable jumpers, particularly when startled or during social interactions. Regular feedings of mysis, enriched brine, and finely chopped meaty marine fare will keep it in good condition and its coloration looking its best.
